Meet the Founder
Rooted in Cleveland. Building for Its Future.
A Cleveland native and first-generation college graduate, Shayla Ivezzy knows firsthand the transformative power of education—and the sacrifices families make to access it. Growing up, her family sought educational opportunities beyond their neighborhood, an experience that shaped her conviction that children should not have to leave their communities to receive an excellent education.
With more than a decade of experience as an educator and school leader, Ivezzy is bringing that conviction home through Thrive Academy: a school where academic excellence and community connection create opportunities for scholars to thrive and help shape the future of Cleveland.
